Sketch & Breakfast

Join us at our Sketch & Breakfast community event!

It’s a cozy and relaxed meet-up for artists. Everyone is welcome, so come don't be shy and say hi. We meet every 4-6 weeks at a nice cafe in the city centre of Graz. You can bring drawing supplies, books and sketches. If you don't feel like drawing, that's fine too! It's all about having a good time together.

Excursions & Gatherings

After being isolated for such a long time we thought it would be fun to get together and draw outdoors, at a museum or gallery. This is about finding inspiration, expanding our horizon and hanging out with other artists. We know how important it is to study, but we also need time to relax.

So in this section you will find casual drawing excursions which we host occasionally. Drawing on site with markers, brush pens and watercolour is fun, so why don't you give it a try? And don't worry, using your iPad is fine too of course.

These meetings can be beneficial for improving your skills too, even if you're used to digital programs like Photoshop or Procreate. You will also get better at designing creatures, vehicles, buildings etc. There's a reason why professional artists draw from life even when they spend most of their time creating digital art. Drawing outdoors is also crucial for understanding light and colour, so grab your Copics, pencils, and get out of there!

Study Sessions

Draw for an hour once a week, every week. No more excuses!

Finding the time and motivation to practise is hard, so why don't we learn together? Every week we sit down and draw for an hour on Discord. You can work on anything you want, using any medium or drawing software you want. If you don't know what to study, you can work on the exercises we create. We focus on topics like figure drawing, environment design, prop design, concept art, anatomy, composition etc. Participating will help you with drawing regularly and building a schedule. If you have questions or need help, you can ask us or other participants.
