The Carbon Black Academy was created to offer art education for people who want to work in the entertainment industry. Our mission is to help you improve, so that you can make a living with your art.

Education for everyone
We offer education for artists around the world who want to level up their skills and get better every day. It doesn't matter if you're still at the beginning of your journey or if you already have experience. We try our best to provide a comfy learning environment where everyone feels welcome.
Community
Being artists ourselves we understand the challenges you face every day. But you're not alone! There are so many of us out there and we want to build a place that allows you to learn with your peers, to form bonds and become part of a community that values support instead of competition.

What Makes Us Special
Face-to-face interaction
Making meaningful connections is as important as learning a new skill, which is why our classes are held live or on site. Here you can always ask your instructors questions, talk to them directly and get personal feedback that's face-to-face.

Online & on site
We used to only host workshops in Graz, but Covid forced us out of our comfort zone. We were worried that we couldn't provide our unique customer service online. Making coffee, hanging out during breakfast, sightseeing... is a big part of the experience, but we had to adapt and according to our participants we did a good job. So please don't worry if something isn't working, if you feel stuck or struggle with a task you find difficult, we're here to help.
